Fox News has cameras at yet another meeting for Obama in Chicago...and they are young.

He is going for the teenagers and young 20's group.

Any day now, I expect him to start rapping his campaign speech.

It's Mara, no Moira, but you have her nailed besides that detail.  We were in the same class in High School and hung out with many of the same friends.  So far as I can tell she hasn't changed a bit.

I didn't make it to our 30th HS reunion a few years ago but I understand she participated in the groupthink that talked about me as a crypto Nazi out looking to kill Jews.  They based that on the info that I participated here on FR.  I find it interesting that they felt it necessary to remember me and libel me in that fashion.

Of course, that depends on the accuracy of the reports I received of the event.

The one thing I'll give her is that she makes the effort to be intellectually honest on both Fox and NPR.  She fails, but she makes the effort.

Personal opinion would be to ban them for a period of time and/or to exclude them from the safeguards of the civil service system for a probationary period.

Civil servants who have been these departments for years know who is gaming the system for political reasons. Anonymous whistle blowers within these agencies should also be encouraged to learn who is or is not doing the jobs they are supposed to be doing. Another idea would be to have better congressional and executive oversight of these departments, with real powers of forcing resignations where necessary.

I want to find the transcript/podcast, but this sounds like a declaration of war.

This could be the best bit of news I've heard in a very long time in this regard.

Agreed. We have a number of Freepers who have worked for these departments, such as kabar, and others who have a lot more knowledge about their inner working than I have. I would bet these people have far more knowledge and suggestions that what I can offer. It's fairly easy to see and point out the problems but an entirely different proposition to solve them.

The hardest aspect of this is getting the MSM and Democrats on board to actually do something about it. For now, they are all providing cover to this abuse.

I know exactly what you mean, every single word. Being raised in Central NY myself there were no prejudiced feelings I recall except for Catholics. Looking back I find that very strange. In my area we only had one Jewish Family(owned a Drugstore LOL) and one Black Family and we had lots of Migrants because it was a big farming area. It all has to do with your Parents and environment. My Mother disliked Republicans (except for Ronald Reagan) much more than anyone else, except the Japanese for Pearl Harbor, and she hated them until the day she died. She had misinformation about the South and Prejudice (Cronkite brainwashing) which I had to overcome and then help her to overcome because it was just wrong. They also thought that all Southerners were stupid except for the worst President ever elected in America Jimmah.
