Do you really think that kids who are having sex are going to pay attention to this stupid idea? How do you figure that the dumb kids who chewed the gum are not going to indulge in sex? If they chewed someone else's gum they are DUMB! They have no sense whatsoever. This isn't going to teach them anything unless they caught something. Honestly, I doubt more than a handful of them actually chewed it. It sounds like participation in this was totally voluntary.

If they taught it right, it should have given an "eww, gross," factor to promiscuous sex. Also, it sounds to me like this was one of those rare wake-up-and-pay-attention things that actually drives a message home and gives the kids something to remember. This is a very effective way to teach and, like I said, hopefully it will discourage some sexual activity. Maybe you guys are forgetting, but that's a good thing. God knows the way they teach sex ed now is working out just fine...
