Sorry, I wasn't referring to personalities--although it's becoming more and more apparent that a candidates' personality, family, religious affiliation, military service and other atttributes count for more in many voters' minds than where they stand on issues of major importance.

On the issues, can you discern any significant differences between the aforementioned Patrick J. Buchanan and your candidate, Rep. Duncan Hunter, leaving aside "national security"? (And please don't try to sidetrack this into who delivers the best oratory, has a winning smile, or worked for Nixon, OK? Stick with the issues you are concerned about.)

I'm afraid I don't follow Buchanan on the issues. So I'm not inclined to make that comparison. Any kind of side-by-side comparison would be obvious in its attempts at pushing debate to the corners. Can you show any differences between Hillary and Lenin on the issues? It's a form of argumentation by association. I'm not interested. Feel free to make the point you would have wanted to make, though, if that's where you were going with this exercise.
