Rather than name-calling, refute the graph - if you can. Please ping me and spiff if you do so that the chart can be corrected, if in error.

OK, I call myself a vet, but I was only a coastie, no combat experience.

I call you a vet, too. Thanks for your service!

Nothing wrong on the chart.

Such a brilliant, fact-filled retort. We've come to expect such from Hunter critics.

So much for that Ronald Reagan guy.

Reagan changed his views long before he became president. Rudy is just starting to spin a "change" now.

I think that '08 will be a great time to push for a conservative candidate, especially if Hillary is the dem nominee. She has no charisma, and she was for the war in Iraq before she was against it.

Skeleton in the closet? Not hardly. Most of Racicot's adult life has been lived either in the US military, or in public service - as a DA, then Att'y Gen. for Montana, then a 2 term Gov, followed by a very public tour on the GOP fundraising circuit, stumping for W.

I hope his family doesn't need him so desperately that they could not part with him for 4 to 8 years for the sake of this nation.

We need him!

A.A.C.

Actually, that is absolutely applicable. The only thing that would make that nonsequiter would be the uniqueness of New York City. It is literally more challenging and emense than most countries. And the whole 911.

the source of Romney's alleged RINOism is the Boston Globe;

Look at Baywindows.com too. They have a Romney page.

They feel betrayed, to sum up a lot of articles.

I am really starting to like Hunter. Unfortunatly, I am getting the idea of him here on FR. He needs to get out in the limelight and start the fire for his candidacy. Why don't we hear more about him where others can start to see him as a great candidate?

"NO that chart is misleading. It's a democrat tactic"

What is this madness about arguing over a chart? Defend Rudi according to the issues and tell me that he's not pro-choice, in favor of gun control, and tolerant toward illegal immigration. These issues alone wreck the integrity of his canidacy. I don't care what party he's in; those are not conservative positions.

Rudy is also pro-abortion and pro-gun control.

> I just know that only silly people call Senators Congressmen. They are senators. Congressmen by and large refers to members of the House of Representatives. <

Absolutely correct. A Senator isn't a Congressman. No way. Terpfen should try going up to a U. S. Senator, then try to persuade the Hon. Sen. that the latter is a Congressman. Our FRiend will be lucky to escape with no more than a tongue lashing!

My sympathy goes out to the poor Senator whose ego I would have bruised by daring to suggest that he serves in the same branch of government as a lowly Representative.

Rudy is just starting to spin a "change" now.

Rudy, yes. Romney, no. Romney's policy shifts have come gradually enough that I'm willing to entertain the idea that maybe he actually arrived at those shifts through an honest assessment of his beliefs.

> There are a few potential precedents this time...First Mormon, first woman, first black, first mayor, first Hispanic <

Fascinating!

And don't forget that we might elect the first President to have had three wives (Newt), the first Italian-American (Rudy), the first M. D. (Ron Paul), the first recovering foodaholic (Huckabee), or the first certifiably insane person (McCain).

[Moreover, if we're REALLY lucky, Newt will dump wife no. 3 sometime soon and shack up with a new babe, just in time to make her wife no. 4 before his inauguration on Jan. 20, 2009!]
