I am not trying to be argumentative with you, but your two statements above are about as contradictory as you can get. First you say Rudy's fiscal and national security record overshadows his social liberalism. Then you say yes, he is a social conservative. You can't have it both ways. I understand you are sold on Rudy, but you are either living in denial by saying he is a social conservative, or you simply are not being honest. His record speaks for itself and it clearly proves that Rudy is not a social conservative.

Ending race-based preferences, speaking out on fatherless children and perpetual poverty, this is social conservatism. Rudy is probably the only elected Republican I know who took these issues head-on, while the other Republicans were cowering in their corners out of fear of the liberal media.
