Some people on this site would rather have someone who is at war with abortion doctors than jihadists. The thing that kills me (no pun intended) is that the Congressmen running for President did very little to advance conservatism when they were sitting around bloviating in Congress. Now I admire Hunter and his record, but the simple fact is that he's a mere Congressman who should have had hindsight to run for President in 2000 or at least CA Governor to raise his profile. At best, he's VP or Secretary of Defense material. That's why Congressmen or Senators rarely get elected President.

The Wash Post article was damning Rudy with faint praise.
Telling.
The LAST...LAST thing the NYTimes or Washington Post wants is Rudy getting the nod and beating hillary.
They will push any buttons of the Socons...to achieve this.

Let's see how he plays in South Carolina and Texas. Giuliani represents a conservatism of the wallet. If the Washington Post wants to praise him.... what does that say? Clearly the MSM is now trying to push Rudy. I guess they figure that they can divide the Republicans and conservatives with a Rudy on the ticket.
Solution?
We need a better conservative candidate than Rudy. One better step up real quick.

Great. He trashes his holy vow of matrimony and you seem OK with that. He trashes the GOP and endorses Democraps for high office and you seem OK with that. He appoints democraps to be judges and you seem OK with that. Odd. Very odd.

All the MSM has been down on Rudy.
That's because he's going to be the next Republican president!

Jim Robinson likes it. Got a problem with that? This is the part where I cower in fear, right?
I respect Jim Robinson and his point of view, we just disagree & on this issue he's just like another other FReeper I'd be having a debate with.

I was at the speech today. Even though Giuliani was very well received, I could tell it did not translate into support for a presidential bid. As some delegates told me, they were merely there to honor his past work, not necessarily his future ambitions. In fact, at conventions functions prior to the Giuliani speech, there were probably just as many stickers for Mitt Romney or Duncan Hunter as there were for Rudy.
