The plane that Hastert used, a C-20 (mil version of Gulfstream executive jet), has a range of over 4000 miles. DC to SF is 2650 miles.

For once the GOP has done a good job in the propaganda war. Like most things in politics, it doesn't matter what the real story is -- it's all perception. And clearly the Pubbies have done a good job of leaving a bit of a mark on Pelosi with this one. It will help define her image with the public over the next few years, and we need to build on it.

The Rats have been masters of this for years. Focus your efforts on one person who might be an effective opponent and keep hammering away on him (or her.)
