The people who "lied" to congress lied about what evidence they had in reports, and were not involved in the investigation or the trial.
I didn't say you said anything. I was simply noting that we should not get our facts from the father-in-law.
In fact, the supervisors ARE supposed to file the report, not the agents, when there is a shooting, so you were correct about that.
When there is a shooting, they require the shooters to report to the supervisors, so that someone other than the person who did the shooting records what happened -- that makes sense for obvious reasons, and when you don't follow that procedure it can put you in a bad circumstance.
The people that lied to Congress were from the office of Inspector General - Department of Homeland Security, the lead investigator of this incident since day one! They most certainly were involved!
