This is a video that was banned by YouTube. It was posted on YouTube by an atheist who had previously posted lots of videos. But, when he posted a video called Islamic Teachings his video was removed and his account was deleted. The video is nothing more than quotes from the Quran set to music. I thought it was very well done. After YouTube deleted his account he made another video under a different username asking to be reinstated. If you watch that video you can tell he was hurt. Almost like he had lost a friend.
The video that got him banned, however, has since been reposted dozens and dozens of times.
Here is the video that got him banned:

Here is the video where Nick Gisburne asks for his account to be reinstated:

Thanks for the links. Well stated joebuck!
Hooray Nick Gisburne!
BFLR = Bump for later reading
Go to Youtube right now. I have just uploaded it there. The URL is:

You can capture it by using a Firefox extension called "Ook! Video Ook!". (Don't ask me why...that's the name.)
If it isn't there or if you don't use Firefox or can't figure out how to capture the file, I can send the Shockwave Flash file to you in a zip file. You'll need to Freepmail me your email address. It is 2.5 Mb in size. You will also need a program called "FLV Player" (downloadable for free) to play it.
Right click and 'Save As' and remember the file you save it to. It's a "swf" file, so just open it with your browser.
That won't work on swf files that are playing back.
I will be spending time tonight trying to get it converted to mpeg so it can be easily viewed. It may create a smaller file too which will be easier to email.
I just checked YouTube and it is unavailable. Either YT won't accept swf files for upload or they yanked it again.

If people want on or off this list, please let me know.
tks for the ping
"The video you requested is not available."
Yeah. Saw that. See #47. I may have to email it to whomever wants it. I am having no luck converting it to .mpg or .wmv formats.
Will KeepVid.com work on your hosting site?
No. I tried. Good thought though.
I have a new copy of Shockwave Flash Studio at home I haven't loaded yet. When I get home after work I'll load my .swf file and see how I might be able to manipulate it with that software.
So far, all converters I have tried have puked when trying to convert the .swf to any other format.
It's been banned because nobody could read it. I read fast but NOT that fast.
You're right. You cannot right click on the flash file and save it. However, you can right click on the link to the flash file then click on "save link as" or "save target as".
Sam, you don't need to convert that file. Go to the web site linked to on post #31. Find the "It's in the Koran" video and right click on the link to that file and "save target as". He's got it there in both WMV and MP4.
bump for exposure
Thanks for the response. I see, upon retracing my steps a bit, that someone upthread posted a link to the website of that talented songwriter. A copy of that video file now resides on my hard drive. It'll be a big hit with a number of my e-mail buddies; thanks for bringing it to my attention. :-)
Nick Gisburne has a new video up. It is a follow up to the one he posted earlier asking to have his account restored. The news of Nick Gisburne has been featured on Digg and Slashdot.

Nick said he reposted the Islamic Teaching video along with another video in the exact same format criticizing the Bible. His Islam video was removed and the Bible video is still there. Nick makes it very very clear in this new video that the only difference is Islam. He said Islam is apparently off limits to criticism.
I don't know why YouTube would have removed his video the second time because I've reposted that video along with a hundred other people and none of those videos have been taken down yet, as far as I know.
Thanks for pointing out the link. I was having a devil of a time trying to convert the file back to .wmv format. Now I can go to bed when I get home from work.
Thanks again!
It brought a tear to my eye.
Thank you.
