Space energy or manufacturing options are not practical as long as we depend on rocketry for propulsion. When anti-gravity or something similar comes along we're in business. Until then, forget it. The cost of getting payload to orbit is just too great.
A thousand can pass by and comment such. The one who says, okay, here's how we do it, that one is the only one worth listening to. -The Donald. -Branson, also
True enough. As soon as somebody comes up with a way to do it, I'll be all in favor. Which is essentially what my post said.
Pass on by.
The mass driver, the Lunar Colonies and the Factories in space were not deranged!
Of course, we are all expected to kow tow to a C Minus Harvard Grad who is marching about chanting "Global Warming!","Global Warming!", "Global Warming!"
NASA tested the low intensity microwave projection between two mountain tops at White Sands. Building the Commercial grade Rectennas and power grid are just a matter of scaling up from test to industrial strength article.
Of course, move all heavy industry off planet and all mankind benefits. Imagine steel I Beams made in space and smaller and stronger since their crystal structure would be more perfect.
Of course, Werner von Braun spoke of these products which would make sense since a more perfect product, like jet turbine blades could also be made.
Yep, sure are a bunch of deranged individuals! Who would you recommend to follow?

Do you know about the ZPE "windmill" in the "wind" you never knew existed?
Technically, that was water vapor, not steam. No one in the power generation industry would call the cooling tower plume, which is probably what you saw, "steam".
-In my black heart, I was wishing every "alternative power" nut was dependent on a windmill-only power source---
I've been around the wind farms on the way to Palm Springs in the last couple years, and likewise, the vast majority were still.
