I don't know. But doing the right thing, the right way, is always harder, takes longer and is messier than the expedient way.
But I firmly believe it pays off in the long run. That is the difference between hysterics which can have dangerous unintended consequences and honestly wanting to see justice done.
The six small children are immaterial here, I'm sorry to say. "It's for the children" is never a good reason for bad reactions and worse precedent...from the left or the right. That is not to diminish the pain they are going through or the difficulty on the families. It just isn't an argument, because they would be having trouble even if these guys were absolutely guilty and there was no question about it.

I've followed this case from the beginning. At this point I hardly think a pardon would be a hysterical response. It's looking more and more like they got a bad rap from the get-go.
However, I can certainly understand why they'd want to be exonerated, and perhaps the most expedient road to that is through hearings. It doesn't appear to me that a pardon will be coming anytime soon.
How unfortunate.
