Davis and Lee are not on trial, Non. Though I would like to see a Davis mock trial (surely that's been done before).

Put Lincoln's views on racism in them context of history with like-minded men - fine. Don't give him a free pass and put him on a pedastal.

Of course not, stainless. You all would choke on your grits before you would ever admit to the flaws in their character. Believing blacks were inferior, supporting colonization, considering slavery the best condition for them, all are supposed to be Southeron character strengths, I guess.

OK, let's put them in context with like minded men. Can you produce a single quote from Lee or Davis or Jackson that might indicate that their viewpoints on the races were more enlightened than Lincoln's? Can you do that? Or will you continue to give them a free pass on their racist viewpoints?
