You certainly seem to have an appreciation for us "rednecks". What's eating you? Didn't mean to offend. Just hate the romantic notions of Southern innocence before and during the Civil War. I have no hatred for someone who would fit that description just a hatred for the concept of glorifying or justifying the South's rebellion.

The appellation "romantic notions" can more aptly be applied to the modern revisionism that somehow the North was the nobler belligerent in the WBTS because of Lincoln's slave manumission. He freed no slave until the 13th amendment was passed. And he didn't go to war to free any slave. He went to war to preserve the union, read: power and central government.
