Got this as an email.....sounds good to me

New Immigration Plan...
Bring our troops home from Iraq to guard the border. When they catch an illegal immigrant crossing the border, hand him a canteen, rifle and some ammo and ship him to Iraq. Tell him if he wants to come to America, then he must serve a tour in the military. Give him a soldier's pay while he's there and tax him on it. After his tour, he will be allowed to become a citizen since he defended this country. He will also be registered to be taxed and be a legal patriot. This option will probab ly deter illegal immigration and provide a solution for the troops in Iraq, and the aliens trying to make a better life for themselves. If they refuse to serve, ship them to Iraq anyway, without the canteen, rifle or ammo. Problem solved.

It was early afternoon, between 1 and 2PM, IIRC.

From the video on the news, yeah... it looked like it had water.... or more like a bunch of mud at the bottom.

Explain how lies to Congress affect a verdict that Congress had nothing to do with?

If these guys lied during the trial, that's another story. As it sounds right now, it's another distraction that doesn't change their fate.

It impeaches their character. Anything they prepared for the court or said in court is now suspect. People with no character are not usually allowed to have standing in court, but that is changing. Now drug dealers are expert testimony witnesses.

The DHS Agent that retrieved the drug smuggler from Mexico was childhood friends with the drug smuggler and had him stay at his house, etc. Perhaps it might be helpful, instead of throwing out comments based on nothing, you reviewed the actual threads re this case on FR and the various links in the media. I understand playing Devil's Advocate, but it get's a little old after a certain point.

They lied to members of Congress with Congressional oversight power. That is serious. Members such as Poe, Culberson, Sensenbrenner and McCaul were repeatedly promised documents that were never delivered. Finally the members of Congress were forced to file FOIA requests which in turn forced the DHS to admit that it never really had the kind of documents that they were talking about in the first place.

See how easy that was? If he lied about this in court or didn't disclose a conflict that he had to legally disclose then this matters. Just lying to Congress wouldn't.

I'm not a legal expert and didn't follow the trial. Just saw a few funny threads. Lots of heat, not enough light.

I understand playing Devil's Advocate, but it get's a little old after a certain point.

Just not that interested. If they get out because of false testimony at trial, good for them. In that case, the perjurers should do time.

If they don't get out, that's fine too. I'll just wait to hear.

Now this has some serious potential! Little fine tuning, and good to go!

Sure. Serious for the liars and the Congressmen. Not necessarily serious as far as changing the verdict.

Re: Your profile page

Ronald Reagan said, "I didn't leave the Democrat party. The Democrat party left me."

Switch the name to Republicans, and it still fits today.

You don't seem to have much respect for the military, in reality, only a small percentage of even the American population, can meet the high requirements for military service.

Bullsh*t. When the appeals process finally gets underway (once the court releases the full transcript) it will be payback time for Sutton & Co. These members of Congress are pissed and will do everything they possibly can to ensure that every bit of exculpatory evidence is available for the agents' defense teams. They'll make certain that Sutton won't run roughshod over the Appeals' magistrate like he was able to do with that dunderhead Kathleen Cardone.

First thread on this subject I've contributed to.

I'll wait until the transcripts come out. Until then everybody is just guessing. See what Corsi has to say or if he drops it because nothing is there.

Go smoke another doobie.

I'll stick to beer, thanks.

Are you saying that exculpatory evidence was withheld for the trial?
