Los Angeles police are investigating a medical center after a paraplegic man in a soiled hospital gown was found in a gutter in the city's skid row area. Police say more than two dozen people witnessed the man allegedly being dumped on the street by a Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center van and took down the number on its license plate, the Los Angeles Times reports. One witness told police the driver of the van ignored onlookers who questioned why she was leaving the paraplegic man without a wheelchair or walker.

Over the years I have turned down lucrative employment multiple times simply because I would have had to enter that city perhaps as much as once a week for meetings at a headquarter office.

The hospital he was dumped at, the state, or the federal government?
If the government pays his care isn't that socialized medicine?
Yea downtown sucks.. The last time I had business down on Wilshire near Westlake I had to step around a DEAD DOG laying on the sidewalk next to a guy selling CD's on a blanket. Wilshire Blvd! Miracle Mile! Yikes!
If he isnt an illegal...he gets no care.

OMG! I just realized that is the Hospital I was born in. I was so locked up with disgust for L.A. I didn't notice the name of the hospital.
That's what happened in this case (no care). At least its not socialized medicine.
Disgusting!! Seriously how can someone do that and just walk away?
If this guy was an illegal, he'd be getting the best care the hospital had to offer. Not for this guy though, he must have been an American.
