This doesn't rise to the level of a DD. This is just boneheaded behavior one finds in the military that can be corrected.
Bet the airman goes on to be a lifer.

E-3 to E-1; forfeiture of $1,000 per month for six months, and six months in jail.Where's the Dishonorable Discharge? The question that occurs to me is...are E-1's now making $1000 or more per month? It's been 38 years since I was an E-1 but I seem to recall being paid something like $75/month.
