My guess, and only a guess, EOM has figured out that public and government opinion has accepted this to the point that subsidies/tax credits can be gained by appealing to this concern. Perhaps they can get paid to inject CO2 into their reservoirs which is costly, but also will increase production at the same time.

Why isn't it? What the HELL is this?
but rather should be on what we should be doing about it," Kenneth Cohen, Exxon's vice president of public affairs, told reporters on a conference call Thursday.
So is climate changing or not?

Are they running scared since Hillary threatened to take their profits?

Isn't it amazing how a little congressional intimidation can make an oil company see the light about GW?

I guess I'll avoid their gas pumps as much as possible from now on.

This looks like a flanking maneuver on Exxon's part. Like the Greenpeace guy says, they are finessing the situation.
Rather than continuing a pointless debate with the doomsday cultists; Exxon is shifting the debate to what can be done about it (never mind that "it" probably doesn't exist). If the warmists had their way, they would shut down the western world's economy. Exxon is just occupying the "solutions" ground first. No doubt, Exxon will propose plenty of profitable (for them) solutions.

Yeah, not exactly a controversial admission. We know the earth has warmed some and man produces CO2 through the burning of fossil fuels.

Let us keep our money. We'll say whatever you want. Correct. This is how the chinese govt. operates and this is how the US is becoming and after Hillary is elected in 08, this is how we all shall behave.
