Planned trips to Alaska by William Oefelein and fellow astronauts have been scrubbed. Oefelein was scheduled to appear Feb. 19 at the Challenger Learning Center in Kenai. On March 7, he and the entire shuttle crew were booked at his alma mater, West High in Anchorage. He also had a planned appearance at the Atwood Concert Hall on March 8. The trips have been indefinitely postponed by NASA, said a spokeswoman for Conoco Phillips, which sponsored the events. No reason was given.

What could cause them to cancel at this late date? A diaper shortage?

Why cancel?
Hoards of asshat L48 reporters intruding on a small town in rural Alaska. The kids don't need this. Heck, *I* don't need this.
Why cancel? Same asshat reporters camping out on his folks lawn.
Local reporters know better, they have to live here.
IT really is a tragedy - one crazy woman screwed an entire organization of thousands of people. Not to mention ruining the lives of two other people, who may have had nothing to do with this delusional *itch.
Why cancel? - "Cause it is the right thing to do".

Well, not quite, lol. He has a week of leave to be with Shipman at her place in FL!
Of course, that's just until 2/16 and this was for 2/19, but you know how that make-up *stuff* is - might take a while after Nowak's antics.

Bill Clinton and the pedophile ex-congresscritter he pardoned suddenly became available.
Why subject the students to anything but the best, when there's a choice?

This guy William Oefelein will never again go into space, and neither will anybody else remotely connected to the "astro-nut", "Lust in Space", "Dark Side of the Loon" fiasco. I have a feeling NASA is doing some heavy-duty soul searching right now.

I don't know about you but I think NASA as an entity is done, put a fork in it.
Space travel however is not

They definitely should cancel all promotions until this case is under control. The Astronauts gone wild is just ridiculous. Really teaching kids great things....

"William Oefelein "Is this the object of the crazy female astronaut's affection?
