"I am willing to exercise prior restraint when there is a likelihood of misuse and thereby denial of others rights."
Oh, so when all but a small fraction of 1% of all firearms owners don't commit crimes, then it is OK by you to put the full force and weight of the federal government behind the proposition that they cannot engage in the honest purchase and sale of their property? Is that a "likelihood" to you?
"Show me a raving psychotic with prior convictions for felony assault who in the country illegally, who has a "Kill all Americans" tattoo and a prayer rug in his back pocket, who shouts "Infidel American police cannot stop me. Allah will protect me from their bullets" and I'll show you a man who should be denied purchase of a firearm, and he doesn't have to kill anyone first to convince me."
Fine, I'll agree. But what on Earth does the psychosis/rage of one waste of protoplasm have to do with the other 79,999,999 law-abiding gun owners out there? Give me a break: Gun control isn't about guns...it is about CONTROL!!
