Does this mean that Lawrence Summers gets his job back at Harvard?

Harvard University President to Resign

Tuesday, February 21, 2006

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.  —  is resigning as president of Harvard University at the end of the academic year, the school announced on its Web site Tuesday.

Summers' resignation ends the briefest tenure of any Harvard president since 1862, when Cornelius Felton died after two years in office.

The announcement comes a week before an expected no-confidence vote by the Harvard faculty, who have criticized Summers leadership style and comments about women in science.

Someone had to fund a study to tell them this?
I could have told them this for the same amount of money a lot quicker.

Studies are welfare for scientists but making it look like they're doing something for a living.

It takes genetics and other such tools to tell contemporary scientists what the rest of the world has known all along.

New Genetic Study: Boys and Girls are Basically Different

Uh, duh, yeah. We needed a study for this? We would not have 'needed' this study before the sixties.

"Boys and girls are basically different."

Except to American politicians and academics.

new hope for treatment of depression and alcoholism.

It seems simple enough: neuter all male children. Then you can bring up a whole new generation of Democrats and post-Reagan Republicans.

"The same gene that in certain circumstances increases the risk of alcoholism and anti-social behavior in boys protects girls from the same dangers and vice versa."

I'm lost. Can any of you cunning linguists explain for me what the use of 'vice versa' means here?

This IS really news, in spite of the fact that we all know the obvious. But in Sweden, the feminists have a stranglehold on the media and this piece of news quickly faded out too. The official credo here is that all differences, except for the physical ones that not even feminists can deny, are introduced by upbringing.

Somehow I never get a response from these feminists when I point out that once a month we get the reminder that hormones affect behaviour...
