You are definitely right about that, as you are about other Pubbies' stances on guns, like President GHWB.

I guess what I would really like is for Rudy to be sincere about his changing stances, and that he goes on to win, as he has a lot of positives.

Hunter stands little chance, I suspect, and Mitt seems to be pandering, and Newt, while the best conservative out there, doesn't seem to want it enough...

I really liked Rudy when he was mayor. The subways got clenaed up, we felt safe to walk the streets at night, and he got rid of the mob...BUT if he is just parroting those things, and hasn't really changed, I don't think I would vote for him.

He treated Donna Hanover, hos first wife, shabbily, by the way...I really dislike what he did to her.

Giuliani is a tool of George Soros and the Shadow Party...

Ed , I lived in NY and NJ my whole life, do you truly believe that Rudy got rid of the mob? I know about his "wins" and efforts, but got rid of?

Was she his first wife or second? I don't remember. I know the second one was at least half nuts; she was the one who appeared in a play whose name I'm too embarrassed to even type here.

I love how Rudy kicked Arafat out of a concert hall. It's a small thing, but I love that story.

This was an interesting article, in case you missed it:

The rebirth of New York City, the most visible urban achievement in the 20th century is the work of the person now dubbed America’s mayor. For the millions of Americans who live in New York and the millions more who work or whose livelihood has been affected by its revival the contrast between the pre and post Giuliani years could not be more striking.

His defense of Israel and intolerance for Arab and U.N. sponsored anti-Semitism is legendary.

He figuratively walked into the lion's den of a crime ridden, high tax, and decaying city and carried out a conservative agenda of tax cuts, crime reduction and, in the case of the Brooklyn Museum, defense of religion in the public square. On this count Giuliani seems to be the winner in the public character category for his extraordinary vision and leadership.
