Bush, McCain and Giuliani are ALL on the same page when it comes to promoting comprehensive immigration reform. AKA. amnesty.

All three of those will NOT get my vote.

As far as I am concerned this is an issue of national security.

"we need to resolve the status of the illegal immigrants who are already in our country -- without animosity

I have lots of animosity. I have animosity for most politicians. I have animosity for the illegals here who don't have to follow laws. I have animosity for the simple fact that my small city in California is slowly being turned into a crime infested third world toilet.

How's that for animosity Mr. President?

The erosion of President Bush's support on FR
is barometer of the importance of this issue.

Yes. This article is dead on. We don't need any more stinking laws. We need a leader who will ENFORCE the laws we have.
My one issue criteria is ILLEGAL AMNESTY/IMMIGRATION/SEALING THE FREAKING BORDERS. And let a dang border gaurd shoot someone in the butt when he needs it.

The President also fibbed about his administration's commitment to enforcing immigration laws faithfully. He said: "To secure our border, we are doubling the size of the Border Patrol and funding new infrastructure and technology."

He is going to need double the Border Patrol since he supports jailing those who enforce the Federal Laws on illegal immigration, especially those engage in drug smuggling.

We are overrun with Mexicans here in mid-Missouri. Dock builders, lawn and garden crews, etc., are 100 percent Mexican around Lake of the Ozarks.

I'd rather be assualted by a known enemy than stabbed in the back by an assumed ally.

There are differences between the amnesty Reagan signed in 1986 and the one Bush will sign into law before he leaves office. In 1986, 2.7 million illegals were granted amnesty. On the condition that tough provisions for employer sanctions were enforced. With up to a million fine on employers. Today the figure is at least 12-15 million illegals. With the 20/20 hindsight of history staring him in the face, Bush wants to make an even bigger mistake today then Reagan made 20 years ago.

To conservatives who thought they were getting someone who wouldn't play word games with the American people, President Bush has been a disappointment when immigration is the subject.

Fact is, The anti immigration Conservatives are playing more word games than anyone else.

First it is "I'm not against legal immigrants, I'm just against Illegal ones or "what part of illegal don't you get" (Translation, I don't want the brown skin mexicans here but I won't say that, instead I will say "no illegals"

Then it is "multiculteralism has always been a failure", (translation: caucasian immigrants are good, others are bad)

Then it is "we need to close the southern border due to terrorism" (translation: the environmentalists could not sell green so they came up with "you are all going to die with global warming", I could not sell keep the mexicans out so I will try "you are all going to die if you don't seal the border")

Then there is "illegals are uninsured motorists" (translation: I'm really clever to point this out because they can't get drivers licenses and they can't get insurance, I can't lose with this argument !)

Finally it is "we can't have legal temporary workers because that is amnesty (translation: Oh crap, I can't be against illegals because they will be legal, now I'm going to have to admit that I don't want the mexicans here and people will call me racist)

Bush, McCain and Giuliani are ALL on the same page when it comes to promoting comprehensive immigration reform.

For those who say that Rudy's views on abortion or gun control don't matter - if Bush were on the right side of the amnesty issue, there would be no immigration "reform", even with the Dems in control of the House and Senate.

Instead, we will see amnesty this year because Bush is on the wrong side of this issue and will sign the bill instead of vetoing it.

So if the Dems get an itch to control guns again or repeal the PBA ban, who do you want in the Oval Office? A guy holding a pen? Or a veto stamp?

True and all have been wordsmithing the issue. I don't know why Bush has such a disdain for enforcing our laws. In large part because of their positions on illegal immigration, I will not vote for McVain or Giuliani in any election.

Calling conservatives racists, simply because they want the borders secured, employer sanctions enforced and a halt to welfare handouts to illegals, is not the right way to make your case. Falsehoods don't work. A little honesty goes a long way. Try it.

Frankly, your post is kinda silly.
