And thats ALL that matters.
Or, this cabbie thought he was stealing a laptop, but went he got back to the garage and opened the case, he thought he bit off more than he could handle, and made up an elaborate story to hide the fact he was a thief.
The secound story sounds more likely
There are photos? I didn't realize that.
There is a meter by the radio. You know exactly how much you are being charged. No one jumps out of the cab without looking at the meter or takes the drivers word.

I would say yes. I had cameras left in my car that I brought back to the Nellis Cab office. But to make money there,competing with the other sharks, I did take some people from McCarron to their strip hotels, via the tunnel and the freeway. Which may have been faster,but almost doubled the fare. I guess this "good" cabbie got $100 for returning the jewels. But considering I got a $60 tip bringing a couple from the port to Boulder City, a hundred ain't much. Us cabbies just rationalize our ways by saying we're just trying to make a buck. Regards.
