Westboro is a cult. Mainly made up of two families with about 80% of the membership being the children and grandchildren of Phelps. They are forbidden to marry outside of their "church".
More gays are murdered every year by other gays than by "homophobic fairy bashers."
NOT just a cult.
But a Democratic Party cult!
I'll bet that is an event Gore wishes had never happened!
I'd say, sure, let the kids put on their play - but make sure a copy of that ABC article was attached to every program distributed that night.

Choose your battles. Spreading all kinds of dubious accusations about a person who was brutally murdered does nothing for the conservative or christian cause.
This has got to be the first time in FREEREPUBLIC history that two cold blooded murderers are being given the time of day.

The NAMBLA murder horrified everyone. There was no controversey because everyone hates NAMBLA and thought it was evil! There are dozens upon dozens of books written about child molestation and murders. NBC has the popular TO CATCH A PREDATOR.
Why does this play offend you so much? WHy is it wrong to honor a dead kid even if he may have had other problems?

Gee! Why was Shepherd killed? He was cruising for a guy in a straight bar. Excuse me, but Laramie is a cowboy town, knowing cowboys as I do, and I do know a few - my brother in law for one. Shepherd took his life and put it into his own hands when he did so, because some free thinking straight guy would resolve the issue immediately as it was, which IS what happened.
Liberals, as Ronald Regan once said, are people who know everything about nothing, and are therefore armed with stupidity. Shepherd paid the price for his idiocy. May he NOT rest in peace.
