I hope he will realize how anti-American and treasonous the Democrats are and abandons them completely.
YOU GO JOE!!!
Lieberman is one of those Senators that`s going to come out smelling like Roses.
From another article:
Indeed, said Lieberman, the Library of Congress confirmed that "never before, when American soldiers have been in harm's way, fighting and dying in a conflict that Congress had voted to authorize, has Congress turned around and passed a resolution like this, disapproving of a particular battlefield strategy."
Cowardly Congress

6 years of Joe knifing them in the back on Iraq...thinking about the wailing on DU about it almost makes up for us having had to deal with the Gang of Fourteen.
But just almost.
Joementum!
Meanwhile, another headline SHOULD be...
Giuliani Easily Aligns With Liberal Democrats (accuses Conservative Republicans of giving strength to the sanctity of LIFE (particularly for the unborn), to the 2nd Amendment, to the institution of marriage between a man and a woman, to enforcing the law of the land where illegal aliens are concerned, etc., etc., etc.)
He flat out waxed their asses, and when the history of this time is written, his speech on the senate floor on 2-6-07 will be one for the ages.
There's not a dimes worth of difference between them.
I was trying to find the full text of Lieberman's speech and couldn't.
If anyone could post a link, it would be great.
Thanks.
That was too much even for one Republican member, Senator John W. Warner of Virginia.
It's getting harder and harder to tell who's actually a Republican in Washington these days.
And, NYT, a full-time man of honor, courage and sheer decency.
Shoot, if he ran for President again I'd vote for him. Of course, he'd never get his party's nomination.
I think he realizes also that Israel stands on the precipice of destruction. Rightly figuring that if American Democrats can't even support their own country and their own military against IslamoFascists, Israel has no hope for being supported against an attack by Iran and Syria.
"The Corner published his speech to the Senate on Tuesday"
Thanks! I found it!
To All -- here is the link, definitely worth reading.
A Critical Crossroad
An NRO Primary Document
Editor's note: Senator Joseph Lieberman (D., Conn.) delivered this speech on the Senate floor on the evening of Monday, February 5.

Mr. President, our nation has reached a critical crossroad in the war in Iraq. More than four years ago, this chamber voted to authorize the use of force against Saddam Hussein, a tyrant who slaughtered his own people, attacked his neighbors, and threatened our security. Thanks to the courageous service of the men and women of our military, that evil regime was overthrown. And in its place came hopes of democracy in the heart of the Middle East and a victory in the war for the hearts and minds of the Muslim world.
This resolution is not about Congress taking responsibility. It is the opposite. It is a resolution of irresolution.
For the Senate to take up a symbolic vote of no confidence on the eve of a decisive battle is unprecedented, but it is not inconsequential. It is an act which, I fear, will discourage our troops, hearten our enemies, and showcase our disunity. And that is why I will vote against cloture.
And finally, what is the message this resolution sends to our soldiers? I know that everyone here supports our troopsbut actions have consequences, often unintended. When we send a message of irresolution, it does not support our troops. When we renounce their mission, it does not support our troops.
One of the reasons the Dems won't open up the Iraq debate to more than one proposal or amendment is that a vote on yanking funding from the troops will push Lieberman from the Dems to the Reps formally, permanently. So the Dems are in a hard place. They won't get their one proposal "debate" (over the Warner proposal), but they can't allow more than this. Lieberman-once-Loserman has them.
Wow!!!
What a speech!
