The news out of Phoenix tonight... the US Attorney's office in Phoenix is no longer prosecuting illegals for bringing in drugs under 500 pounds... ergo, The State of Arizona is picking up the slack and doing the prosecuting in lieu of the government... several people from their office made a trip to D.C. this week to meet with AZ legislators to fill them in on the Governments new policy since they were unaware of it...

I find the news that the Phoenix U.S. Attorney's office is no longer bothering with loads under five hundred (500) pounds delicious.

And eleven months after this trial which of course was a marvel of justice the transcript is unavailable.

And the president who appointed the attorney general who told off our capital city morning talk show host in precisely the same smarmy tone Tony Snow used to do the same is held harmless despite his aggressive No Mexican Left Behind policy.

And FBI Director Mueller as well as relevant officials in the glorious Department of Home (haha) Land Security are carefully monitoring the growing number of OTMs from nations of concern caught crossing the southern border.

Why only yesterday Sandy Berger committed felonies to conceal the criminal negligence of the Clinton Administration regarding its efforts following the accidental capture of the Millenium Bomber--and that was one invader, one vehicle, one trunkload of explosives.

The current literature suggests al Qaeda and other enemies of the nation are able to come and go at will.

Not all the lost Egyptian students are happily located in Iowa.

Jurors felt coerced; the prosecution lied; the ballistics are exculpatory; the victims are at peril and one has been beaten.

Bleeding from the ears? Put some ice on it.

I voted for this president and my only quarrel with his Iraq venture is that he doesn't simply take out the likes of al Sadr, and walk--no, run--the cat back to Tehran and take out Rat Boy.

But the border? Judge Judy would say, "Don't pee on my leg and tell me it's raining?"

So, hey, all enemies foreign and domestic, whatever, but the first five hundred pounds is free, and we'll smack down those on the border who take their oath seriously, and as for whistle blowers like Rowley and Weldon, well, we have our ways.

And, Alex, the answer to the Sanchez question is, "Who was the perp's high school amiga?"

Who took his side and smeared her fellow officers.

Is this a great country or what?
