Guiliani's response regarding the Second Amendment should be an eye opener to everyone here.
Regulation of a Constituional Right is liberalspeak.
Imagine "regulating" the first amendment with 40,000 laws. After all, words can be the most dangerous weapon of all. In fact our enemies count on that. So not just any blogging fool should be allowed to fling words and "facts" and adjectives around. Maybe all journalists should be licensed by a competent board before they can say anything about any politician? Maybe that license should be subject to periodic review as well?
If not, unregulated speech could be hateful, disrespectful, and downright inconvenient, especially if launched just before an election. We all believe in free speech. But a few sensible regulations here and there to make sure it's appropriate for all will help keep us free from anything offensive forever!
