Her marriage of 19 years had brken up a few weeks before. My guess is that the marriage failure really screwed her up. I've seen what such emotional trauma that can do to an otherwise sane person.

I wasn't aware of that. But I do know it's pretty normal to feel like a failure when a marriage dissolves. Regardless of who's at fault or the reason it dissolved.

She was probably depressed at the thought of giving him half her retirement pay...lol.

IMHO, the husband probably realized that Lisa Marie was obviously a real nut case.

"My guess is that the marriage failure really screwed her up."

Think again.. If the story is true...and I believe it is...that the AF Captain had taken out a restraining order on Nowak over two months ago, that means that Nowak was probably "getting it on" with Oefelein long before that. Which, logically, was probably the reason her marriage finally broke up. I think its a pretty safe guess that her adultery was the reason...regardless if her husband left her because of the affair, or she left her husband to continue the affair.

Either way, it wasn't the breakup of the marriage that screwed the woman up. She was playing all the cards, herself.
