I cannot believe MLB would do something this stupid. The extra money comes out to be about $1 million per team. You can't even get a mediocre reliever for that money. They are cutting off their nose to spite their face. Going from potentially hundreds of millions of customers to a few million. I can't have a dish (regardless of the brand); neither can a lot of people. This is just so unbelievably stupid.

Then why is it wildly successful for the NFL? It's all marching down the road toward pay-per-view, but don't think Kerry is worried about the fan - Big Cable was burned badly by SundayTicket and will not allow it to happen again. Bought-and-paid-for politicians will make sure of that.

The only way you can't have a dish is if you have line of site issues. No home association, deed restriction, landlord, etc, can prevent you from having a dish, it's Federal Law.

Tell that to the NFL and their exclusive package with DirecTV. All five TV contracts with the NFL combined now equals 3.1 Billion dollars a season. Without the exclusivity of the DirecTV package, the NFL TV contracts could not have come close to this dollar amount.

Just as long as the Senate makes HBO free and allows Starz to carry all HBOs movies at no additional cost, I'll be happy. Can I get some ketchup with my baseball please?</saracsm>
