If there are any Simon Cowell wannabes on the judging panel I can't imagine this sort of con-test would boost inmates' "self esteem" ..lol.

Very true  :-)  The judges will need to focus more on meaningful suggestions for improvement rather than an arrogant "You're crap! Get off the stage!" attitude.
