What would happen, if we were able to go back in time several hundred or thousands of years, and attempt to expain the internal combustion engine to people, especially the learned fold? The principles, science, mechanics, and physics of the engine has always existed. Just because no one could have made an engine with what was available a thousand years ago does not mean it could not have existed. Cannot the same be true of God? Maybe that is why it is a mystery - because most of us are not smart enough to figure Him out yet?
I like that. It's more or less how I rationalize "the impossible".
That is it. If an infinite being is the author of the Universe and the life within it then we shouldnt be surprised if we havent been unable to understand everything about His creation. I could say it would be like a clay pot wanting to understand pottery and potters but that wouldnt be a good example: Clay pots will grasp pottery and potters long before we have grasped God and His creation. Not that we shouldnt keep trying -- we should. But before we can even begin the long journey we have to get past this stupid notion that it is all the result of mindless, random accidents.
I guess I don’t exist, then. Unfortunately, the IRS doesn’t seem to agree.
