I know that a wuss like him never experienced it because he never served. But, I did serve in Vietnam, twice in fact, and I both saw and experienced unkempt, unwashed Hippies, high on dope and Joan Baez, spitting on returning veterans. In fact, I still have the original battle ribbons I wore home from my 2nd tour -- I kept them because they have a splotch of blood on them that came from the mashed in nose of one such smelly bastard I met in San Francisco on my way home. I have no idea who might have mashed his nose -- he must have stumbled.
