We just obtained a policy for me --- Blue Cross, I think. I have gone all my life without any medical insurance. I hope this doesn't jinx me.

One thing is sure about this. It will have way too many pecans. I did not have a measuring cup handy and it was past time to add them so I just picked up the bag and dumped them in. That is ok, though. We all love pecans.

Hey, that reminds me, I never did hear an update about you going blind in the one eye. Was that permanent or just sort of a temporary blindness that you had?

It's a detached retina -- which makes the sight seem like there's a dark gray drape over it.

Good thing you have insurance, if you have to have eye surgery.

My parents won't even enroll in AARP, even though they have been getting the mailers for about 10 years now. LOL

I think the laser surgery here is not all that costly. My pest control guy had it and his was $1800 for both eyes.

Yep. That it is. The mailers are just an annoyance. My other grandparents STILL get AARP mailers every year.
