To reclaim the Senate and Congress, to hold onto the White House, to build a sustainable Republican majority, and to advance conservative principles, we Republicans must unite together and support a candidate who can win the hearts of the vast majority of Americans. Well said peach. It seems though that the only candidate who has this capacity to both unite Americans and defeat Hillary in 2008 is Rudy. Yet many here on FR are handing the Dems every conceivable shred of campaign material Hillery will ever need. But they are doing the same to most of the other Repubs who may have a chance at the nomination.
The Dems will only need to worry about funds for the ads; FR will provide all the material for them....
Hey Mac, how many republican judges did Rudy appoint as the Mayor of New York? How many times did he endorse Mario Cuomo? Do you think the second amendment can be applied in substantially different ways to city folk and country folk? Was Rudy sleeping the last time amnesty was tried? What should a fellow Catholic think of a Catholic running for the republican party nomination who has been an unabashed supporter of abortion and using public money to pay for same? What should a fellow Catholic think of a man who until last night supported partial birth abortion and the public funding of same? What should anybody think of a man who vows to appoint contructionist judges and yet embraces Roe as settled law?
Speaking for myself, I won't be voting for Rudy unless I had a vote to excommunicate him just like every other pro abortion Catholic politician. Which I don't of course.
