"Except that he also put the screws on long-term permit holders - and history shows that has NOTHING to do with reducing crime - to the contrary, increasing concealed-carry does."

I know that. Maybe we can change his mind on this?? He talked about his ability to change his mind, maybe there is nothing in his background that would have taught him the disconnect between concealed carry and gun crime. He seems like a logical person. Plus we don't know if there were zelous anti gunners that took advantage of the gun law changes in NYC to go much further than Rudy maybe wanted. That's possible.

He looks very dumb with the gun lawsuit though, I hope he realises that now.

I love the story about him thorwing arafatso out of the concert, I can amost overlook his gun problems for that kind of clear headed vision regarding America's enemies.

He mentioned the that all the pull the troops out losers forget that even if we pull out we are still at war since the islamoblowbots and their programmers have declared war on us.

Except that on Hannity and Colmes last night, he basically said that things are different in cities regarding the 2nd A - whereas IMO, you need concealed carry MORE in cities than you do in rural areas. So I don't think he has a clue regarding basic, critical 2nd Amendment arguments - both regading 2nd A intent and the practicality of concealed carry towards public safety.

But IMO, even more troubling, is that he is against an enumerated right - he basically says that rights are what someone like he decides we should have, which shows an abject misunderstanding of the basic concepts of rights. Meanwhile, he's been a staunch supporter of a judicially-crafted "right" - abortion. But let a federal court tell him to end NYC's sanctuary policy, and he defies them. Roe - good. Crackdown on illegals - bad. He picks and chooses what he follows.

And I really don't see how someone just turns a switch and reverses that kind of mindset. He can talk the talk, but his past raises serious questions as to whether he would walk the walk on these issues.
