This is precisely why it's NEVER any good to elect a liberal Republican. At least with a liberal Democrat in office, the Republicans will provide a staunch oppostion just for pure political purposes.

To purchase a gun in the State of New York you have to give your full name, your date of birth, your residence, your occupation. You have to prove that you're a United States citizen, you have to show you are of good character, competency and integrity. And you have to demonstrate a real need for the weapon.

And thanks in part to our stricter gun control laws, crime is down dramatically in New York City. Shootings are down over 50 percent. Murder is down over 50 percent...

We need a federal law that bans all assault weapons, and if in fact you do need a handgun you should be subjected to at least the same restrictions -- and really stronger ones...

To me, the Second Amendment provides the mechanism to prevent government from ruling through the intimidation of arms. If the citizenry is armed it has the means to overthrow a tyrannical or illegal government.

This is a crock. Rudy governed New York City as a New Yorker. The public ASKED for more gun control. There is no indication so far that he will try to apply New York City standards to the entire United States.

So if the American public asks for gun control or more restrictions on policial speech, Rudy will give it to then, the Bill of Rights be damned.

The people of New York certainly didn't ask Thier mayor to attempt to sue gun manufacturers out of buisness. Even if they did this RINO had no right to do it. If Rudy wins the primary Hillary actually has a chance.
