The media is so silent.

There's a long history of media history regarding abuses by the NCIS. Even the Petty Officer Daniel King case for instance, caused the barest flicker of coverage.

In that case, two defense JAGs and a civilian attorney (Jonathan Turley) blew the whistle on NCIS abuses. No one paid attention, no changes were made at the NCIS (a civilian agency, by the way).
