Does anyone think that Franken has even the remotest chance of election?
Why not ask him?
Humphrey, McCarthy, Mondale, Wellstone...Franken? It could happen.
I'm fed up with all of them at this point.....well, there may be an exception or two.
"Does anyone think that Franken has even the remotest chance of election? "
Does anyone think that a practicing muslim with ties to radical organizations has even the remotest chance of election?
Same state....
Does Jesse Ventura ring a bell?
Starting to think? Apparently, Mike Gallagher fell off a turnip truck yesterday.
Much different situation.
When you are more afraid of Al Franken than of the terrorists who want to kill your children, you don't belong in the Senate. You belong in an assylum.
Two big differences - Ventura ran as a centrist, rather than the leftist Franken, and Ventura ran against the two-party establishment, of which Franken is seeking to become a part of.
When Coleman was first elected he said he was going to carry out Paul Wellstone's legacy. He said it and he meant it.
I suspect that Coleman might favor a debate because he feels like it is an opportunity to nail the Democrat(ic)s to the wall. The vote yesterday was just a vote to consider the resolution, not a vote for the resolution.
I am in favor of debate. I think people should be forced to take a stand.
You asked: Does anyone think that Franken has even the remotest chance of election?

I have just two words: Jesse Ventura.
Can you tell me what WWF champion was recently the Governor of MN? That may tell you if Franken has a chance. If you saw the original Paul Wellstone - school teacher before he was senator - advertising you would know that MN is one strange politcal theater.
See #12. Totally different situation.
It may be a parlimentary move. I would give him the beneift of the doubt until I hear more.
We throw this term around waaay to much. Norm may be many things but he not a RINO...dumb yes...running scared yes...deaf dumb and blind yes...but not a RINO.
Makes perfect sense to get it straight from the RINO's mouth.
When words do not match deeds, somebody is lying, a bundle of contradictions, or confused.
Words and Deeds BUMP!
