as far as I know there aren't any cars made with a 1000 mile range on the gas tank. Further if she were trying to avoid being recognized later, she would have had to make the entire trip back. SO 2000 on a tank of gas? In addition you can always go behind a bush on the side of the road, and the bush won't talk. I'm beginning to think the diaper was some sort of infantilism thing.
