I work in the Human Relations field handling employer-employee disputes. The socialist mentality that pushes for this kind of benefit ignores the tremendous costs. Also, these kind of benefits lead to much abuse. I worked in Germany and saw the kind of abuse that employees had to such generous benefits. Employers cannot depend on employees showing up for work. The employees that are coming to work have to do the work of the missing employee. It all adds up.
