So now the gays are btchin over what might have been? All I know is after seeing that commercial I may never eat a snickers again. That was my favorite candy bar too, it just turned my stomach that much.

Finally something gays and straights can agree on. We all hate that commercial.

This is a bit off the point but I can't resist - from now on we should only refer to these bipeds as homosexuals. Everytime we use GAY instead of HOMO we're giving up ground to these silly (but dangerous) creatures. I feel better now.

How do you mean, "what might've been?" The other ads were on the site for voting as was the video reaction of the football players. Mohammed was one with the scrunched-in-disgust nose.

The ad campaign was tiresome trash whatever perspective you come from on homosexuals.

Some public affairs director claimed:

"As with all of our Snickers advertising, our goal was
to capture the attention of our core Snickers consumer."

"Feedback from our target consumers has been positive. In
addition, many media and website commentators of this year’s
Super Bowl commercial line-up ranked the commercial among
this year’s best..."

"We know that humor is highly subjective and understand that
some people may have found the ad offensive. Clearly that
was not our intent..."
