We had 2200+ murders a year here before Rudy, and I don't much like the idea of having to get on the subway and be Wyatt Earp as a solution to that. the people who had their guns taken away from them in NYC, were thugs carrying them illegally. thugs cruising the streets and subways with handguns in their waistbands, with no fear of being stopped by the police and shook down - before Rudy came in.
