Midwest checking in...a vote for Rudy here!!
Im pro-choice. Im pro-gay rights, Giuliani said. He was then asked whether he supports a ban on what critics call partial-birth abortions. No, I have not supported that, and I dont see my position on that changing, he responded. RUDY GIULIANI (R), FORMER MAYOR OF NEW YORK CITY: I'm pro- choice. I'm pro-gay rights.KING: Giuliani supports a woman's right to an abortion, and back in 1999, he opposed a federal ban on late-term abortions.
GIULIANI: No, I have not supported that, and I don't see my position on that changing.
KING: Immigration could be another presidential landmine. Back in 1996, Mayor Giuliani went to federal court to challenge new federal laws requiring the city to inform the federal government about illegal immigrants.
JEFFREY: He took the side of illegal immigrants in New York City against the Republican Congress.
KING: Giuliani opposes same-sex marriage but as mayor, he supported civil unions and extending health and other benefits to gay couples. He also supported the assault weapons ban and other gun control measures opposed by the National Rifle Association.
GIULIANI: I'm in favor of gun control. I'm pro-choice.
Republican Big-Wigs Support Pro-Abortion Event in NY
Pro-abortion Governor George Pataki and New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who also supports unrestricted abortion, are co-chairs of the 2000 Choice Award Presentation to be held on May 30 at the St. Regis Hotel in New York City. The event is sponsored by the Republican Pro-Choice Coalition, a group that is campaigning for the removal of the pro-life plank from the Republican National Platform.

Mia, I already saw it; it was totally awesome!
All you are doing is wasting bandwidth.
I'll second that!!!
yes...and I feel sorry for Mitch McConnell trying to do that with the bunch he has.
I doubt very seriously if anything substantial is going to get done in Congress....there are too many POTUS candidates hanging out there between campaign appearances.
In this case...with the Dems in control...that is especially a good thing...LOL
you are seriously out of control
lol
Thanks.
Every vote counts.
See Post 50 and 113. :)
GIULIANI/RICE 2008 REPUBLICAN TICKET for President/VP
WVNAN,
Thank you for your kind words.
You come from what is indeed the Greatest Generation.
Last week was the one year anniversary of my mom's death and she too was a product of the Depression and WW2.
My grandfather came from Italy at the beginning of the century and went to W. Virginia to work in the coal mines before joining the Army and fighting in WW1.
I truly wish that everyone who comes to this country loved America as much as he did even though he was injured and gassed and given 6 months to live.
Having survived many more years than he thought he would, he often told me that he would rather be dead in America than alive back in Italy.
He and my Father taught me what Love of Country means.
God Bless You.
GO RUDY!
Amen. I still get that sick feeling every time I think about it. A mixture of grief for all the innocent lives lost and blind anger at the animals who did it.
Nope. Sorry.
I do too.
If one is dead, social issues mean nothing.
