I don't know what will win the election, but the social in social liberal can be restated as cultural liberal without changing its meaning. And being culturally liberal has precisely nothing to do with being a socialist.

And being culturally liberal has precisely nothing to do with being a socialist.

Actually, it does, because the social/cultural liberal denies the existence and rule of Almighty God, which is the very foundation of Socialism leading to Communism.

As Jim Robinson so well put it:

A social liberal is a liberal and liberals begat liberalism. Liberalism begats socialism. Our nation was founded on the self-evident truth that our unalienable rights come from God. Socialists deny God exists. Socialists say our rights come from men in government robes. What men in government robes give, other men in government robes can take away. Without God we have no unalienable rights. No unalienable rights means no freedom. No freedom means no America.

EternalVigilance at #147 posted well the words of Signer John Witherspoon:

"Whoever is an avowed enemy of God, I scruple not to call him an enemy to his country."

I can't thank you enough, Jim Robinson, for your essay and all your following comments. I am so thankful for you, and pray that our Gracious Giving God will raise up many more men just like you, and keep you blessed with such wisdom as you displayed throughout this entire thread.
