Sorry, but abortion "rights," gay "rights," 1st and 2nd amendment issues, and the SCOTUS are not 0.01% issues. We're talking about mainstay issues of the conservative movement.

So sorry that social liberals put so little value on issues that are near and dear to the hearts of conservatives.

Can I throw in limited government, tax minimalism, and fiscal conservatism?

This also goes hand in hand with personal responsibility as a tenet of responsible governance.

INDEED.

But actually, Jim, God making ONE of those issues HIS concern . . . is sufficient for me.

In the modern world, the USA NEEDS God's favor vs His disfavor.

All the more so with the demonic moon god Jihadi's out to destroy us.

imho.

I didn't mean that these were insignificant issues.

I mean that people who essentially agree on them still can start some pretty impressive fussing - and then splitting - on some fine point.

In contrast, the Left will back anyone who claims their big issues. (Monica was worth abortion to the NOW women, for example.) And they invariably count our disagreements as their "mandates."

I wish we could agree to fight together against the opponents, instead of requiring "our side" to agree on every single word and punctuation mark - we can work those out after we protect the unborn, the family, and our homess.
