I have a question -- why do we conservatives assume we must have our home in the Republican party? Why not "infiltrate" the Democrat party and promote candidates based on their conservative values, instead of party affiliation?

To some extent, I hear this is already happening, with the Democrats fielding more conservative candidates in this past election. There are a lot of wedge issues (affirmative action for one) where we could really get a lot more people on our side, if we could dilute both party brands a bit and have them vote on the issues, instead of just binary Republican/Democrat.

Just some thoughts.

I wouldn't want to discourage anyone who felt led of God to do that.

HOwever, all things being equal . . .the INGROUP/OUTGROUP STUFF IS FIERCE in the DIMRAT camp. They are VERY effective at insisting and INSURING that only doctrinaire globalists get any position, clout, etc. at all. Shoot they ALMOST do that well in the GOP. The DIMRAT party is deeply intensely and thoroughly, broadly sold out to santanic globalists WHOLESALE.

You don't, unless you want to have a chance of ever winning anything. The Republican party is the only conservative party that ever wins. If you want it to be more conservative you have to work within the party.

You could try to make the RAT party conservative, but you will be starting with Marxists. Why bother?
