That is the way I feel about it and I wont leave the party or change.

I do understand that when you are talking Congress, any republican you can get elected in the dark blue states is better than any RAT. It gives you one more vote to holding on to control and that means setting the agenda.

POTUS is different in that the nominee has to be electable in enough states to give you an EC win. RATS will never vote for a Republican no matter how liberal they are. If we run a liberal nationally we just lose the Red states and gain nothing.

If we throw the social issues out of the platform we become the Libertarian party and get 1-2% of nothing.
