In his pugnacious, delusionsl blindness, he's automatically refused to give any credence to Libby's position or recollections, especially as it relates to his job as a top government official and the WH's imperative to correct SlimeyJoe's lies. Yet .. ALL the credence in the world is given to the words and recollections of the reporters in Libby's sphere of press contacts.

He's assuming and attributing the most vile of motives to Scooter and probably the WH, and the most benign motives to the press .. WE KNOW BETTER.
