I also noticed there were no patriotic commercials this year - doesn't Anheuser Busch usually do one?

You think AB or anybody else wants to associate themselves with the war in Iraq? Sure way to lose half of your business, probably more since younger folks are heavier beer drinkers. At least with the Snickers ad, Mars is only risking the 15% of the audience (gay bashers) who probably believe that eating candy is a sin.

AB did one ad, a few years ago--right after the war started. It was the guys walking through the airport.

It was good and it made an impression. AB is about selling beer.

By this time, if you are coming from, or going to Iraq, you drink more beer than you should--and with good reason. If you are there, you dont drink any.

If you are not there, and not going there,--AB isnt going to remind you how much it sucks to be on the other lists. It would rather make you laugh.

That makes sense right?

AB is a great company and supports the troops and its employees in the reserves and guards. I just dont care for their beer. But their commericals are good.
