How terrible. Those poor people, just trying to run their business (at least that's all we know now). May God bless them and comfort their grieving families, and may the killers receive justice. I hope there's a loving relative to give the 2-year-old a new home.

A policeman stands guard outside the cordoned-off Chinese restaurant. So we can be confident that nobody else will be murdered there... this week.
When guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns.

No gunshots heard, probably a silencer was used.
I would venture a guess that organized crime has a hand in it.

Are citizens allowed to own firearms in Germany?
For hunting (which, depending on the region, is quite popular) or as a sport, of course. There are many "Schuetzenvereine", even a girl I went to school with spent much of her spare time at the shooting range back then.
Guns need to be registered, however, and if you are not a hunter or a member of a club and just want to own a gun for "personal protection", a licenses is seldom granted (there are exceptions).
But then again, there's always a "black market". I mean, cocaine is also illegal in the US, but you still can get plenty.

Only if you spit against the wind, jump over fire, roll on your back, and shove fists full of money down a bureaucrats throat are you as a normal tax paying law abiding citizen allowed to own a gun.
Concealed carry? Forget it.

But, but, but...I thought that registration would
end gun violence! You mean it doesn't? Well goodness gracious, we'd better just
ban all those
evil guns and make good and doggone sure the world is a safe place for everyone, doncha know? I mean, we
all know that if it weren't for guns, there'd never be any killing anywhere, right?

Your kidding of course? Having the "right to own firearms is the perogitative of the king only".

Who told you that? Of course you have the right to defend yourself - even with deadly force (§ 32 StGB Notwehr). If my or another´s life is at risk, I may kill the attacker. It´s just that we´ve gun control.
To: wolf78
This can't be true. Germany has had strict Gun Control laws since A. Hitler instituted them in the early thirties.

The killing of the six people at the restaurant is sad. The picture with the article shows the good side of Germany. A nicely painted building, the clean cobbled street and walk and no news TV truck parked at the curb blasting the tragedy up to a satellite for distribution.
